Possible Reasons for a consultation might be:
A painful and/or difficult latch, weight gain issues, tongue tie, prematurity or late preterm infant, multiples, jaundice, fussiness or frustration at the breast, a baby that is "nursing all the time" and never seems satisfied, sore or damaged nipples, past breast surgery, medical issues/illness for mom or baby, returning to work, weaning, food sensitivities or allergies for mom or baby, introducing solid food, sleep issues related to feeding, adoption, nursing an older baby, tandem nursing, any unresolved feeding issues or concerns.
An Initial consultation is usually about 2 hours the 1st time so that we can get an accurate assessment of how your baby feeds at the breast, how much milk your baby takes in, your baby's weight and a full health history of you and your baby with a clear understanding of what is causing your individual concerns and challenges. You will leave the consultation with a care plan that will help address all of your issues and and as much follow up care and communication that you need.
Follow up consultations are usually an hour or so.
Initial Consultations $120 for approx. 2+ hours
